  • In the performance of The Dream of Red Mansions, famous Xu-style performer ZHANG Xiaojun played JIA Baoyu, Wang-style performer LI Min played LIN Daiyu (Baoyu's cousin), and Jin-style performer XIE Qunying played WANG Xifeng. These three performers are winners of the Plum Blossom Prize.

  • In another classic aria “Baoyu Weeping before the Bier”, a mournful tone remained throughout. Hardly had Baoyu said, “Daiyu, I’m late” when he burst out weeping. Such undisguised vent to emotion added much to the artistic appeal.
