The Philadelphia Orchestra concert gets live streamed

On May 17^th, The Philadelphia Orchestra hit the NCPA Concert Hall. The concert was live-streamed at the NCPA Press Room, NCPA Taihu Art Stage Centre, Beijing Fun (a cultural and commercial complex), and multiple online platforms, so that more people could enjoy the music feast.

On May 17^th-18th, The Philadelphia Orchestra made their highly anticipated return to the NCPA with its Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin. Before the live streamed concert on May 17^th, composer TAN Dun arrived at the NCPA Press Room and shared with music lovers his inspiration of Fanfare Overture. “It’s such a surprise that we get to meet composer TAN Dun. The NCPA really did a great job in art popularization and education. It’s wonderful to be one of the NCPA audiences.”

To give audiences the exact experience in the Concert Hall, the NCPA made plenty of efforts in signal transportation, sound effects, etc. The Direct Stream Digital 256 was applied to live recording. Nearly 30 audio reception routes and eight camera placements were used in the video recording. At the NCPA Press Room, a professional surrounding sound system was specially used, so that “music lovers could enjoy the same sound in the Concert Hall”.

DAI Zhonghui Trumpet Ensemble at Beijing Fun

At Beijing Fun, DAI Zhonghui Trumpet Ensemble first gave a performance. Later, The Philadelphia Orchestra concert was live streamed at the big outdoor screen. Meanwhile, music lovers at Tongzhou District also enjoyed the concert preview lectured by GAO Yi.

Composer TAN Dun at the NCPA Press Room

Besides, music lovers could also enjoy the live-streamed concert through multiple online platforms, including the NCPA Classical Music Channel website, app, weibo, toutiao, CCTV Video, Migu Live, Migu Video, IPTV, CRI Online, Aiqiyi, Beijing Time, NCPA Facebook and CCTV Facebook.
