The IBCC is a national-level international competition established with the guidance and approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and has been successfully held for four times since 2011. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and the 5th IBCC is themed by “Homage to Chinese Ballet” in order to showcase the fruitful development of the Chinese ballet and promote the international development of the ballet art.

To highlight the theme of “Homage to Chinese Ballet”, special planning has been made for this year’s competition system, opening and closing ceremonies and ballet gala. Moreover, many other activities, such as high-end interviews, Master Workshops, Master Classes, Ballet Retrospective, Ballet Sculpture Exhibition and Summer Camp, will be carried out, too.

14 internationally renowned dance artists have been specially invited to this year’s competition to serve as members of the jury. They will make objective and professional comments on the players in the principle of fairness.
