NDR Radiophilharmonie returns to the NCPA

NCPA October/28/2019
On November 24th, NDR Radiophilharmonie will return to the NCPA under the leadership of its music director Andrew Manze. The orchestra will perform masterpieces of Beethoven and Mozart with clarinetist Martin Fröst at “NCPA Pure Classical” 2019.

NDR Radiophilharmonie

At the concert, Martin Fröst will make his NCPA debut with Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major. Martin was known for his boldness in breaking the stereotypes of classical music. He often blends unexpected features into performances, such as roller skating in “8” pattern while elegantly performing Ave Maria, or playing clarinet and dancing with a peacock mask in Anders Hillborg’s Peacock Tales.

Andrew Manze

Three years ago, Andrew Manze and NDR Radiophilharmonie presented their genuine German-Austrian music style by Beethoven’s Ouverture de Coriolan and Symphony No. 3, “Eroica”. They’ll start a new musical journey with Beethoven’s Overture to Fidelio and Symphony No. 5 in C Minor “Fate”.
