Report for Re-evaluation of 2020-2021 NCPA Young Composer Programme

The NCPA launched the “Young Composer Programme” in 2011 in order to build a team of young talents to find and carry forward excellent, solemn musical works composed in contemporary China. The Programme is open to young Chinese composers from all over the world for fine orchestral works. The shortlisted entries will be performed in an organized manner. Also, a reward will be offered to the final winners, who will be commissioned to compose new works. The NCPA runs the “Young Composer Programme” for public good to help talents realize their dreams and cultivate the soil for Chinese artistic creations.

In April this year, the Sixth NCPA Young Composer Programme officially kicked off and attracted wide attention from young composers in more than ten countries and regions. 102 entries were received, a record never touched before. The young composers who signed up for the Programme came from more than ten countries and regions. The final evaluation work is already finished after a rigorous evaluation by the panel. The Report for Re-evaluation of 2020-2021 NCPA Young Composer Programme is hereby announced.

Any entrant will be disqualified from the next round of the competition if his/her work violates the competition rules in any other form such as a plagiary or the work has been published or performed in any commercial performance. Organising Committee of NCPA Young Composer Programme hereby reserves the right to bring suits, claims, and actions for any and all causes of action arising from the competition regulations.
