INTRODUCTION

As one of the NCPA exhibition brand, “Rhythm of Brush and Ink” series aim at extending the stage art to display the excellent traditional Chinese culture so that the public can appreciate the fine arts from multiple perspectives by a unique aesthetic experience. Now, The 3rd “Rhythm of Brush and Ink” returns with the theme of Chinese Theatric Figure Paintings. We hope the moments on stage can be eternized in paintings at the exhibition, and to present the beauty of the traditional Chinese opera and the art. The exhibition opens from June 2nd, 2020 to August16th, 2020.

 
 
 
 

CONTENT

Displayed at this year’s exhibition are masterpieces by nine domestic artists. The exhibits have diverse artistic features. By condensing infinite life experience in a finite painting space and using the brush boldly based on the traditional wash-ink implications, they have blended two types of national cultural quintessence Chinese Opera and Chinese painting together in the contemporary context.
