NCPA BDA Youth Dance Troupe is founded

Recently, the NCPA and Beijing Dance Academy signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly set up the NCPA BDA Youth Dance Troupe, and co-construct a platform for dance popularization and education, as well as dance management and research. They are also planning to build an internship and practice platform for university teachers and students.

WANG Ning, President of the NCPA, pointed out in a speech that strategic cooperation between the two parties is an important initiative to implement the spirit of the Opinions on Comprehensively Improving School Aesthetic Education in the New Era by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and General Office of the State Council. He also proposed that in the future, the two parties should adhere to the goal of “building a strong culture for the Chinese nation”, realize resource collaboration and produce influential artistic works, so as to jointly promote the development of artistic undertakings and aesthetic education of colleges and universities in Beijing and the whole country.

As a national cultural platform, the NCPA has joined forces with a number of institutions in recent years to support aesthetic education through various activities.

In August 2018, the NCPA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Beijing Film Academy, to cooperate closely in three directions, namely opera films’ promotion and dissemination, filming and production, and talents training.

In December 2019, the NCPA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Conservatory of Music, to carry out diversified and innovative cooperation in the sharing of artistic resources, the training of professional talents, the initiation of academic research and the popularization of art education.

In September 2019, the NCPA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Peking University, to jointly build a platform for the popularization, education and presentation of art in colleges and universities, platform for artists to exchange, receive training and practice and platform for arts management, research, exchange and development.

Additionally, the NCPA and Beijing Union University jointly set up an “experimental class on stage image design” last year.

The NCPA will continue to function as a national cultural platform and will work closely with professional and comprehensive colleges and universities to contribute to the construction of aesthetic education, as well as to promote the prosperity of culture and arts in China.
