INTRODUCTION
The NCPA celebrates its 13th birthday on December 22nd, 2020. Over the past years, the NCPA has been committed to art popularization and education, and collecting and exhibiting collectables about the performing arts. After more than ten years of exploration, an “art museum” with distinctive characteristics has been established.
Over the past 13 years, the NCPA has worked on its art collection with the active participation of many artists under the vigorous support from all walks of life, gathering more than 10,000 collectables.The NCPA has commissioned many outstanding artists to create works based on performing arts. More than 100 paintings and sculptures were displayed in this exhibition to celebrate the 13th birthday of the NCPA. Some of the works are set ablaze with the beauty of art captured on stage, while others reveal the harmony between humanity and nature. These works, created with “beauty” at the core, not only reflect the artists’ excellent artistic skills and aesthetic feelings, but also the prosperity of art collections at the NCPA.

The exhibition is divided into two parts: colourful stage and music and paintings intertwined.
Colourful Stage
Whether through music, dance or traditional operas, the feelings conveyed by art are interlinked. The visual artists present to us the shared feelings of different arts in their paintings and sculptures, and eternalize the momentary beauty of performing arts.
Music and Paintings Intertwined
Nature created magnificent and gorgeous scenery, which in turn, provides inspiration to for artists. Visual artists depict the beauty of the landscape in a realistic manner or vivify the rhythms of life in nature by abstract means, thus composing a colourful movement for the culture and nature of the charming China.
