ABOUT
As a time-honoured city for more than 3,000 years and capital city for over 860 years, Beijing boasts abundant historical legacies and brilliant cultural characteristics, which bears a great witness to the profound and long-standing Chinese culture. In the early spring of 2022, “Beijing in Colours: Artwork on Beijing Themes” is co-organized by the NCPA and Beijing Fine Arts Academy. 79 refined oil paintings and traditional Chinese paintings will be on display, which have been carefully selected from a myriad of Beijing-themed works collected by the Beijing Fine Arts Academy during 2002-2020. The exhibition will offer a panoramic view for cultural landscape, natural scenery and new look of Beijing, demonstrating the profound heritage of the capitol as a millennium-old ancient city and charming style of Beijing, as well as a modern world-class metropolis, that has impressed all visitors with a visual feast brimming with the savours so unique to this city.
