About “Southern China”
The Southern China in the exhibition refers to the area south of the Yangtze River and east to the coastal area, including a dozen provinces and municipalities, such as Jiangsu and Shanghai, as well as Yunnan and Guizhou in the southwest. The diversified natural ecology and beauty of these regions, as well as their profound and rich cultural history and customs, provide endless life resources and spiritual nutrition for artistic creations.

About “Oil Paintings of Chinese Scenery”
It’s a new concept proposed in the exhibition, which combines oil landscape painting from the West with Chinese landscape painting, seeking to introduce the former into the spiritual concern of the latter; giving it the characteristics and connotations of Chinese culture, thus achieving the height of traditional Chinese painting and differing from ordinary oil painting.
