The 4th NCPA “Young Composers Programme”exhibition to be launched in May 2017

After the 4th NCPA “Young Composers Programme” was launched in March 2016 (hereinafter referred to as “Young Composers Programme”), and a total of 67 candidates have been received. After rigorous selection by juries, re-evaluation stage ended on January 27th, 2017 and a list of 12 shortlists has been announced.

12 shortlists will be respectively performed at NCPA Concert Hall
 
Presentation of the 4th NCPA “Young Composers Programme” will be kicked off from May to November, 2017. The 12 shortlists will be respectively performed in concerts of China NCPA Orchestra, China National Opera House Symphony Orchestra, National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra and China Film Symphony Orchestra. By referring to the live performance of recordings and music scores, juries will select the candidates for the final concert, which will be presented by China Philharmonic Orchestra at NCPA Concert Hall on December 13th, 2017. The juries, composed of ten Chinese and foreign composers, conductors and orchestra managers, will announce the final three winners at the concert. These winners will be awarded by NCPA and be newly invited by NCPA for commission.
