On January 11th, the NCPA renewed its strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz in the Blossom Hall of the NCPA. Both sides would continue their cooperation till 2025 by jointly promoting the development of China’s culture and arts to convey the charm of arts. WANG Ning, President of the NCPA, XU Heyi, Chairman of BAIC, ZHU Jing, Vice President of the NCPA, Jan Madeja, President and CEO of Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Services Co., Ltd., and LÜ Jia, Music Director of the NCPA attended the renewal ceremony.

The NCPA hoped to receive continued strong support from Mercedes-Benz, to develop deeper cooperation in art production, cultural exchanges and art communications, and work together to build a heartwarming theatre to inherit cultural treasures and produce high-quality art works. Mercedes-Benz also expected to continue to work with the NCPA to inherit the classics with its brand power and carry forward the arts by assuming its social responsibility, contributing to booming development of the culture.
As the NCPA’s first strategic partner, Mercedes-Benz has formed ties with the NCPA through art since its inauguration, and later renewed their partnership in 2011, 2014 and 2017, respectively. This time, both sides have opened up a new chapter of cooperation again when the NCPA enters its 13th year.

The Mercedes-Benz New Year’s Concert was held that evening. Under Music Director of the NCPA LÜ Jia’s baton, China NCPA Orchestra performed Chopin’s and Beethoven’s masterpieces with the pianist LIU Ji. Hundreds of teachers and students from the Beijing Daxing Xingzhi School, a school for children of migrant workers permanently supported by the Mercedes-Benz Star Fund, enjoyed the music as well.
By 2020, the NCPA will have operated for over 13 years. The NCPA will continue adhering to the guiding principle of “for the people, for art and for the world” and the core value idea that “art changes life” while cooperating with the whole society on a larger scale in a more flexible mode, to provide broader artistic enjoyment space for the public and make a more useful contribution to the development and prosperity of China’s culture and arts.
