On the evening of July 4th, 99th Anniversary Chorus Concert of Founding of the CPC was lived on several online platforms, including the NCPA Classical Music Channel, Kuaishou, and CCTV.com. Hosted by NCPA Drama Ensemble member ZHAO Ling and conducted by China NCPA Chorus Resident Conductor JIAO Miao, the concert expressed the immense affection and sincere wishes for the CPC. By 24:00 on the 4th, nearly 30 million viewers had watched the concert online. So far, two 99th anniversary online concerts have attracted an audience of 70 million, reaching a record high for the NCPA “Sound of Summer Blooms” concert series.

Prior to the concert, CCTV Hostess LI Sisi walked into the NCPA Audiovisual Shop and introduced the production status of the Shop together with ZHAO Zheng, General Manager of NCPA Records. Afterwards, she elucidated the highlights of the concert’s programme with WU Lingfen, a chorus master who directs China NCPA Chorus, JIAO Miao, Resident Conductor of China NCPA Chorus, and composer SHU Nan. Under the leadership of JIAO Miao, the China NCPA Chorus presented 17 contemporary classical choral works for the live and online audience.

On July 11th, NCPA “Sound of Summer Blooms” online series will present a concert with the theme of “Amor Fati", in which works of ZHAO Jiping and Tchaikovsky will be performed. It will be broadcast live on NCPA Classical Music Channel and many other online platforms.
