Preliminary result of Sixth NCPA Young Composer Programme

NCPA January/12/2021
The NCPA launched the “Young Composer Programme” in 2011 in order to discover young talents to find and promote outstanding contemporary music works in China. The NCPA regards the “Young Composer Programme” as an art public welfare cause to help young artists realize their dreams and cultivate soil for China’s orchestral music creation.

In April of 2020, the Sixth NCPA Young Composer Programme officially kicked off and attracted wide attention from composers both at home and abroad. Nearly 100 entries were collected, a record never touched before. After a rigorous evaluation by preliminary evaluation experts of the NCPA Young Composer Programme, a “shortlist of entries for the Sixth NCPA Young Composer Programme” is hereby announced.

Any entrant will be disqualified from the next round of the competition if his/her work violates the competition rules in any other form such as a plagiary or the work has been published or performed in any commercial performance, the Organising Committee of NCPA Young Composer Programme hereby reserves the right to bring suits, claims, and actions for any and all causes of action arising from the competition regulations.
