On August 3th, 2017, World Music Series No. 104 - “Contemporary Candombe” Uruguay Percussion Troupe was held at NCPA Conference Room. Before the performance, Uruguay Ambassador to China Fernando Lugris gave a brief speech and introduction about Candombe - an Uruguayan traditional art form. Later, Uruguayan performing artists Daniel Tatita Marquez and Eugenia Silveira Chirimini presented wonderful performances of Candombe and dance to the audience. During the performance, they invited audience to dance and perform with them, which gave the audience opportunities to experience the authentic Candombe music and culture.
