PU Cunxin
PU Cunxin is National first-class actor, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chairman of China Theatre Association, Vice President of Beijing People's Art Theatre, Art Director of Drama Actor Team of NCPA and member of the CPPCC. He is a seasoned actor in theatre, film and television performing arts for many years and has starred in scores of dramas, films and TV series and many times a winner of awards at home and abroad. His representative works include: dramas Hamlet, Thunderstorm, Coriolanus, Uncle Vanya, RUAN Lingyu, LI Bai, Teahouse, Sons of Heaven; TV series Police Officer, See Without Looking, Journey to Glory, and film Shower.
He has won many honours and awards, including Best Actor at the 2nd China Drama Golden Lion Award, Wenhua Award, Audience Award at the 7th Beijing College Student Film Festival, Audience Award at the 17th China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival, Excellent Actor at the 11th Huabiao Awards, Best Actor at the 13th Beijing College Student Film Festival, and Best Supporting Actor at the 12th Chinese Film Media Awards.
WEI Xiaoping
In 1979, WEI Xiaoping was recruited into the Directing Department, the Central Academy of Drama as an undergraduate student. In 1984, WEI began to teach in the department after graduation. In 1987, WEI Xiaoping went to France and studied at the famous "Theatre du Soleil". In 1997, WEI began to introduce outstanding contemporary French dramas into China after he came back and successively translated and directed four French plays (Chinese version). WEI worked as a director in such plays as Knock ou le Triomphe de la médecine (1998), The Curies (formerly known as Les Palmes de M. Schutz) (1999), Prime Minister LIU, the Hunchback (as the Executive Director of the 5th and the 6th Peking Opera play scripts), Art? (2000), the classic farce Boeing-Boeing (Chinese version, 2004), Art (2006), Cell Phone (a stage play, 2008), City Jiong Men (2009), All Said and Done (a Sichuan Opera, 2010), YAN Yinliang and Summer Palace (a Huadeng Opera, 2012), Gouba (a square stage play, 2014), and WU Qi Peking Opera (2016). Stage plays in which WEI played a role include Peer Gynt, Home, New Beijing People, and Art.
LU Fang
LU Fang is an actress of Beijing People's Art Theatre, national first-class actress and is the winner of China Drama Golden Lion Award. Graduating from the Performing Department of the Central Academy of Drama, LU Fang has set an example with her line skills both inside and outside the industry. For years, she has been in active cooperation with Director LIN Zhaohua and Director LI Liuyi and has starred the leading role in many works, such as DING Bao in Teahouse, Xiao E in White Deer Plain, Virginia in Coriolanus; Laffrat in Military Train, Ruijue in Home, Antigone in Antigone, Linda in Death of a Salesman, ZHOU Yuwen in Spring in a Small Town, Yelena in Uncle Vanya, and LIU Baofu in The Cherry Orchard.
JING Hao
Actor of Beijing People's Art Theatre, JING Hao graduated from the Performing Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy. He played many leading roles in the works of Beijing People's Art Theatre, such as BAI Xiaowen in White Deer Plain, YUAN Jiangmiao in People in the Quadrangle, Juexin in Home, Aufidius in Coriolanus, DING Baoluo in Birdman, etc. His role Haemon in Antigone is very impressive. He has also cast many memorable roles in Mother’s Tears, Changing Face, Legend of JIE Zhenguo and other film and TV plays. Prior to joining in Beijing People's Art Theatre, JING Hao has won the Third Prize for Performance at the army theatrical festival for the role SONG Jianguo in The Loess Ballad. He has also dabbled in directing filed in recent years.
ZHAO Ling
Actor of the NCPA Drama Ensemble, ZHAO Ling has appeared in dramas A Midsummer Night's Dream, Jane Eyre and Hamlet produced by NCPA. Graduating from the Performing Department of PLA Art Academy, he used to be an actor of Drama Troupe of General Political Department. His representative theatrical works include Baptism, Scared Fire in a Remote Place, Men’s Array, Growing Trees in the Desert, Most Critical Moment, Itched Life.
He has also joined the shooting and dubbing for many films and TV series. His dubbing works include Jack in 3D Titanic, Prince Guojun in Empresses of the Palace, XIANG Yu in Legend of Chu and Han, QIN Qiong in Heroes in Sui & Tang Dynasties, Superman in Superman Returns, O’Connor in The Fast and the Furious, Vronsky in Anna Karenina, Julien Sorel in The Red and the Black (Le Rouge et le Noir), Sherlock in Sherlock.
His representative film and television works include Young Kangxi, Colonel's Daughter, Maggi’s Gift, Shitty Life, Town River, Rise and Fall, Coordinates, and Spy Game. He has participated in such radio dramas as Shenzhen Ballad, Song for Mother, Unchanged Love, Yarning for the Land, Return to the Poyang Lake, Lonely Sunflower, I Come from the Mountains, Ode to the Motherland, Attachment, Camellia, and Teacher.
ZHAO Qian
Graduating from the Performing Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy, ZHAO Qian is now an actress of National Theatre of China. She has been active in the drama stage over the years. She has starred in dramas Everything in the Garden, Taking Leave, A Night in the Room, Lianhua, Twelfth Night, Die Dreigroschenoper, The Seagull, Keep Alert, and After Divorce. Her solid stage skills and performances of strong personality have been widely praised by people inside and outside the industry.
In addition, ZHAO Qian has appeared in dozens of films and created many popular classic roles. Her representative TV series include Happy Life of Zhang Damin, Malan Epic, Love Twenty Years, See Without Looking, City of Angels, I Want to Make You Happy, Since I Met You and Midday Sun. She has also performaed in films such as Feng Shui, The Last Eight Days, Growing Up, and The Life Of Ordinary People.
In 2013, she was short-listed the Best Actress at the China Golden Eagle TV Art Festival for starring in Midday Sun. In 2012, she won the Excellent Youth Actress at the selected performances of national troupes. In 2003, the telecine Car Sensation she starred in won the Baihe Award by China Movie Channel.
WAN Qianhui
Graduated from the Performing Department of The Central Academy of Drama, she studied in Guildhall School of Music and Drama, England for a year. At college, she won the Excellent Award for professional major in school term 2011-2012 and the first-class scholarship for school term 2013-2014. She starred Mingfeng in musicals Home, Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods and so on. After graduation, she starred in SAN Bao’s musical NIE Xiaoqian and NING Caichen for the role NIE Xiaoqian; played Dunyasha in The Cherry Orchard produced by Beijing People's Art Theatre; and lo in Prometheus Bound directed by LI Liuyi.
Jampa Tseten
Jampa Tseten graduated from the Performing Department of Beijing Film Academy. His works include theatre works The Master Builder directed by LIN Zhaohua, Oedipus, Antigone, Spring in a Small Town, The Cherry Orchard, Prometheus Bound and opera The Savage Land directed by LI Liuyi, opera Falstaff directed by Michael Schulz and films Dajavu, Love at First Sight.
LUO Wei
Member of the NCPA Drama Ensemble, he has appeared in dramas A Midsummer Night's Dream, Jane Eyre and Hamlet produced by NCPA. Graduating from the Performing Department of The Central Academy of Drama, LUO Wei used to be a teacher in the Performing Department of Shanghai Theatre Academy. He starred the leading actor LIU Shi in China's first campus idol drama Summer in Beijing adapted from the FENG Li’s novel of the same title. His representative works include dramas such as Three Sisters, Maid Spring, Caligula, Who Made My Tire Flat, Where Does the Singing Come From, New Tenant, film and television works such as Financial Storm, Fortune Street, Blue Fox, My Naughty Girlfriend, While We're Still Young, Net. He has also been the director of such works as documentary Yosuke’s Waiting, DV feature Cicada, opera QIAN Xuesen, and Strindberg’s famous drama Miss Julie.
