ZHOU Tao, a graduate of the Communication University of China, used to be an announcer at the Beijing TV, an announcer at the CCTV Art Centre, a cadre of the Beijing Olympic Committee and an employee at the CCTV Large-scale Programme Centre. She is now the chief performing officer of the Beijing Performance & Arts Group.
As a hostess at more than 200 important national programmes, she is well-loved by the audience for her fresh hosting style, friendliness and elegant figure on the stage. She has hosted important programmes including the Tiananmen Square Bonfire Party on the 50th National Day, Celebration for the Return of Hong Kong to the Motherland, Celebration for the Return of Macau to the Motherland, Charity Performance for Flood Relief in 1998, Celebration for the 80th Anniversary of the Founding of the CPC, TV Commentary on Beijing Olympic Games Opening, Charity Performance for Wenchuan Earthquake Relief, Charity Performance for Yushu Earthquake Relief and TV Commentary on Guangzhou Asian Games Closing Ceremony. She used to host the CCTV Spring Festival Gala for 17 years.
When working at the Beijing Olympic Committee, she was responsible for planning the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games and for the global broadcasting of four important celebration ceremonies such as the Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony. She strove to erect a good bridge of communication between the opening ceremony production team and the BOB (Beijing Olympic Broadcasting Co.). Owing to the success in achieving effective, timely and accurate communication, the four ceremonies left a deep impression on the global audience through perfect broadcasting, making a contribution to the successful holding of the Olympic Games and the building of a new modern image for China.
During her work as Deputy Director of the CCTV Large-scale Programme, she served as the production manager and planner of large-scale programmes, such as dozens of “Heart to heart” performances as an expression of gratitude or appreciation, the Ministry of Public Security Spring Festival Gala, the National Young Singer TV Grand Prix, the “May Day” Evening Party and the Evening Gala in Celebration of the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China. Many of the programmes were praised by the state leaders and achieved a high audience rating.
ZHOU Tao is passionate about public activities. She has donated many times for public good and given many performances in underdeveloped areas. She is the founder of "Infinite True Feelings", the first public benefit programme launched by CCTV. She used to be the production manager and hostess of this programme and raised over five million yuan for the society. She took an active part in various public service activities to eliminate poverty, prevent AIDS and show care for the disadvantaged, building herself a good philanthropic image.
Her awards include ZHOU Tao won the 8th “China Youth May Fourth Medal” in 2005, the title of the 2nd “China’s Top 100 Teletricians”, the title of “Female Construction Pacemaker” by the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television in 2005, one of Top Ten CCTV Hosts and Hostesses in 2004 and 2005, the 4th National Golden Microphone Award for the Best Host or Hostess, the First “Government Award” for the Best Works from National Radio and TV Presenter; the Best Hostess Award at the 16th National TV Art “Starlight Award”, the “Golden Crown” Best Foreign Hostess Award by the Germany State TV in 2000, the “Evening Party Host Award” by the China Radio and Television Association (CRTA) in 2010, named a talented person in “four disciplines” by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC in 2015, and the National Labor Medal in 2016.
SUN Qiang graduated from Department of Performance at Shanghai Theatre Academy. He is a film and TV actor at the National Theatre of China. SUN Qiang played the No.5 patient and earl in the eight-hour-long epic stage play A Dream Like a Dream, Chekhov in Let Me Hold Your Hand, and Karin in The Seagull.
JIN Chuanchuan is an actor. He won the national champion of the Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land Star Performance Competition co-hosted by the Yanghua Times and Tencent. His representative stage plays include Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land, A Dream Like a Dream, The Yellow Storm, Waiting for Godot, Loess Ballad, Historia de una Escalera and Forever Young.
YUAN Fan is an actress. She is a winner of the National Third Prize in the Cloud Sail Group of the Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land Star Performance Competition co-hosted by the Yanghua Times and Tencent. Her representative works include dramas Secret Love In Peach Blossom Land and Love Letter. She is an active thinker and loves reading, writing and playing the zither.
