NCPA and Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine's app "Pine Cone" jointly held a salon on March 19 dubbed "Wagner Afternoon Tea". This event hosted by Beijing Music Radio's presenter Gu Yue featured two heavyweight guests including NCPA's Opera Director and Chief Conductor Lü Jia and Sanlian Lifeweek Magazine's Honorary Editor-in-chief and famous music critic Zhu Wei. The two talked about the life of Wagner and the music and philosophy in his romantic opera Tannhauser, which is to be staged at NCPA from April 6 to 10 and kick of NCPA's Opera Festival 2016.

The production team of the opera presents the theme of redemption through love in an exquisite way

N.B.: In order for the audience to catch the bus and subway train after the show, all opera performances at NCPA will start at 7 p.m. from April 6, which is half an hour earlier than the original time at 7:30 p.m.
