On April 28, the thematic exhibition of “CHEN Ailian’s Artistic Life in Dance World” was officially launched at the NCPA Arts Gallery (East Exhibition Hall). This exhibition is sponsored by the official website of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Beijing CHEN Ailian Dance School and supported by China Dancers Association, China Literature and Art Foundation and CHEN Ailian Dance Art Public Welfare Special Fund.
Through four core parts themed “Original Ambition”, “Soul of Dance”, “Torch Relay of Art” and “Eternal Reverberation”, the exhibition is held to review the 70-year growth experience, artistic exploration, skill inheritance and public welfare practice of CHEN Ailian, a great dancer of contemporary China. The glorious life story of CHEN Ailian, who grew up in the company with the People’s Republic of China, is vividly demonstrated in all aspects. The exhibition also sheds light on her positive contributions to the development and inheritance of Chinese dance.
On the opening day, guests including LYU Caixia, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of China Zhi Gong Party, WANG Ning, President of the NCPA, GE Dali, Vice President of the NCPA, SUN Dongfan, Vice President of China Volunteers Association, WANG Xiangwei, Editor-in-chief of
CPPCC Daily, JIANG Kun, Chairman of China Quyi Artists Association, HAO Yi, Deputy Secretary General of the China Cares for the Next Generation Working Committee, CHEN Yu, Principal of Beijing CHEN Ailian Dance School, and CHEN Ailian’s family members attended the opening ceremony.

The students of Beijing CHEN Ailian Dance School demonstrated CHEN Ailian’s educational achievements with their graceful dance movements in the exhibition hall. CHEN Ailian’s performance costumes, manuscripts and photos of classic dance roles are on display.

According to WANG Ning, President of the NCPA, “CHEN Ailian is one of the founders of Chinese dance and a leading figure for Chinese dance who had benefited the public and gone to the world. This exhibition takes advantage of the NCPA, a national-level cultural platform, to unveil CHEN Ailian’s great life experiences and artistic attainments to society. In addition, we also take this opportunity to commemorate and remember this great artist”.

This exhibition, designed for public interest, also expounds on her artistic life in the dance world through multi-dimensional images, to guide the people to learn from her spiritual pursuit and public spirit”.

The exhibition will be open from April 28th to May 21st at the NCPA Arts Gallery (East Exhibition Hall).
