Synopsis
Ibsen's A Doll's House is an important evidence of the development of China's modern drama. In 1914, the Spring Willow Society of Shanghai performed A Doll's House (Mubiao Drama) for the first time. And in 2014, 100 years after its debut in China, the experimental theatre version of this drama, the NCPA version, will be presented by the National Centre for the Performing Arts as a salute to the classic. This will be the first modern drama in the form of experimental theatre ever produced by NCPA independently. This version of A Doll's House, directed by Ren Ming, a famous director of Beijing People's Art Theatre, and starring Wang Ban, winner of the Plum Blossom Prize, and his wife, famous actress Cao Ying, will show the audience a new story about 'Nora' with exquisite production and wonderful performance.
