Directed by ZHANG Yimou, 2047 Apologue will make its global premiere in Beijing. The international teams with domestic and overseas top cast will present a refreshing audio-visual feast.
ZHANG Yimou breaks the form of traditional stage plays, combining Chinese folk arts with international technology, and thus creating a unique “concept performance”. The main creative team is composed of WU Tong, QIU Jirong, WU Na and other performers of traditional Chinese arts, as well as senior artists performing long tune and the loom art. The traditional art forms in this performance include Shaanxi tunes of small copper bowls, Quanzhou Puppet Show and Fuzhou Drum Music. These Chinese folk arts will be presented with different high-tech, igniting new vitality. Noticeably, 20 teams and individuals from seven countries will gather in this performance.

Long Tune Performer: Qiburi
Born in 1946 in Wengnuiteqi county, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, Qiburi has learnt the long tune with the instruction of ancestors for over 60 years.
Khoomei Performer: Chaokejiletu
In 2007, Chaokejiletu participated in the Chinese New Year’s Concert held in Goldener Saal Wiener Musikvereins. Chaokejiletu has won the Gold Award of the Non-tradition Group in the 2nd CCTV National Instrument Competition.
Khoomei and Morin khuur performer: Menggen
Menggen was the winner of the Silver Award of 2012 CNR National Mongolian Song Competition, Silver Award of the 12th and 13th CCTV Youth Singers Great Prix, Beijing Area.
Khoomei and Drum performer: Bayinmandehu
Bayinmandehu was the winner of the Excellence Award of the 12th CCTV Youth Singers Great Prix, and the Lead Khoomei singer in Closing Ceremony of the 16th Asian Games.
Khoomei and Chor performer: Qinggele
Qinggele was the successor of artistic Khoomei of Mongolian Mult-voice and the ancient edge blowing instrument Chor. He is a member of AnDa Union, whose albums have won the “Yearly Top 10 World Music Records” chosen by SONGLINES in 2011 and 2016 respectively.
Guqin : WU Na
WU Na is the first one who got the Master degree in Chinese Guqin playing. She was invited to participate in the APEC Artistic Performance in 2014.
Laser Dance Performer: QIU Jirong
QIU is an independent versatile artist, who is the successor of the 4th lineal generation of “QIU School” of Peking Opera. QIU was the winner of the Gold Award of 2012 National Young Peking Opera Actors’ TV Competition, the leading role of the dance drama House of Flying Daggers directed by YANG Liping.
Peking Opera Performer: ZHAN Lei
ZHAN is the first-class performer in Beijing Peking Opera Theatre, versed in Wusheng (a martial role in Peking Opera). He was the winner of the Gold Award of 6th CCTV National Young Actors’ TV Competition.
Peking Opera Performer: HAN Yansong
HAN Yansong is a famous young actor in Tianjin Peking Opera Theatre, versed in Wuchou (a military comedian role in Peking Opera). He was the student of SHI Xiaoliang, the famous performing artist of Peking Opera in China.

Performer of Tunes of Small Copper Bowls: WANG Jinfa
Born in 1942, WANG is the representative successor of shadow puppet-Shaanxi Province Intangible Cultural Heritage, student of Mr. LI Cuncai, who is from the renowned “shadow puppet family”. WANG has 58 years of stage experience. He was the singer of the episode “Tunes of Small Copper Bowls” in the movie White Deer Plain.
Modern Dance Performer: LI Yu
LI Yu was the winner of the Gold Award for Solo Dance in the Modern Dance Group of 10th China “Lotus Prize” Dance competition in 2016, Gold Award for Group Dance of 8th China “Lotus Prize” Dance Competition in 2011. In 2008, LI participated in the “Artistic Performance of the 29th Beijing Olympics Games Opening Ceremony”.
Modern Dance Performer: HU Jie
In 2015, HU performed in the opening and closing ceremony of Beijing 2015 IAAF World Champions. HU was also the winner of the Gold Award of the 9th China “Lotus Prize” Dance Competition in 2013. In 2008, HU participated in the “Artistic Performance of the 29th Beijing Olympics Games Opening Ceremony”.
Suona Performers: Fuzhou Drum Music Troupe
The troupe has a history of 600 years up to now. Their performance is included in the national “China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List”. The troupe was also the winner of the Gold Award of the 9th Art Festival Galaxy Award Music Competition.
Sheng Performer: WU Tong
WU Tong was the winner of Award for “Best World Music Album” of the 58th Grammy, the Award for “Best Classical Crossover Album” of the 52nd Grammy. WU is the creator of soundtrack for Ashes Of Time Redux directed by Karwai Wong.
Sheng Performer: ZHENG Yang
ZHENG Yang was the winner of the Gold awards for Traditional Sheng, Soprano Sheng and Sheng Group in the 2016 International Chinese Sheng Cultural Art Festival. In 2014, ZHENG Yang won the Performance Award for Chamber Music Group of Small Folk Music of Wenhua Award launched by China Ministry of Culture.
Sheng Performer: CHEN Renjie
CHEN Renjie was the winner of the Gold Award for Professional Sheng Group in the 2016 International Chinese Sheng Cultural Art Festival and Silver Award of the 2nd Beijing International National Instrument Competition in 2012.
Weaving performer: WU Shuxiang
Born in 1940 in Songtao Miao Autonomous County, Tongren City, Guizhou province, WU has learnt weaving since childhood and has kept the endangered craft for over 60 years. The loom in the performance is handed down from her ancestors with a history of more than 200 years.
