Part One (January 13th, 2024)
Chapter I Anhui Opera and Han Tune Merged into a More Coverall Opera Art
From the Anhui Troupes' s entry into Beijing in the Qing dynasty till the final formation of Peking Opera, the Peking Opera art developed and grew stronger by absorbing anything and everything. From the hotchpotch of various tunes to the fusion of Anhui Opera and Han Tune, mutual learning ran through the history, bringing into being a magnificent musical system for Peking Opera.
Chapter II Different Genres Contending in Beauty and Fascination
The male role-playing profession, Sheng, and female role-playing profession, Dan, rose in succession, with various professions and genres blossoming. Meanwhile, new singing tunes and rhythmic forms emerged in an endless stream, while there were an increasing number of musical instruments available for the Peking Opera orchestra, promoting the development of the Peking Opera music and tune.
Part Two (January 14th, 2024)
Chapter III All Flowers in Full Blossom Like a Piece of Brocade
After the founding of the PRC, a policy on literature and art was formulated and implemented for guidance in rearranging traditional operas, producing a new version of historical Peking operas and creating modern ones. More and more creative themes were introduced therefor, while a variety of musical instruments were put into use and accompaniment was enhanced, so that Peking Opera music creation took on a new look.
Chapter IV Cultural Inheritance and Innovation for Further Development
With modern Peking Opera as the core, a traditional instruments orchestra, a Chinese-Western orchestra and a Western orchestra were established one after another. Peking Opera music became more and more expressive, so that there arose a contemporary interpretation of Peking Opera music and there emerged a large number of masterpieces, presetting a brighter future for Peking Opera art creation and performance.
