Eight Immortals Cross the Sea
There is a beautiful goldfish fairy in the East China Sea. She often travels on the sea with her female companions. One day, the Eight Immortals return groggily from the Festival of Immortal Peach, and run into the goldfish fairy on the East China Sea. LYU Dongbin utters insulting remarks, provoking the fairy. There begins a conflict between the two sides. The Eight Immortals are beaten up. In the end, ZHANG Guolao comes forward to offer an apology, but not until the fairy allow them to cross the East China Sea.

The Golden Terrace
During the Warring States Period, YUE Yi, a native of the State of Zhao, seek refuge with King Min of Qi for shelter. However, the eunuch YI Li, jealous of YUE Yi’s talents, drives him away. Hearing that King Zhao of Yan is building a high golden terrace to attract talented counselors and bold warriors, YUE Yi decides to go there, hoping to borrow troops to attack the State of Qi and seek revenge. King Min of Qi infatuates with Consort Zou, relies on YI Li, indulges in wine and women and neglecting state affairs. Consort Zou and YI Li plots to harm the heir apparent TIAN Fazhang, by falsely accusing him of misconduct with the King’s concubine. Enraged, the King orders YI Li to find and behead the prince. Upon hearing this, the prince flees the palace at night. He encounters TIAN Dan, the patrol officer, who hides him in his residence. When YI Li comes to search TIAN Dan’s house, TIAN disguises the prince as his sister, successfully deceiving YI. After YI leaves, TIAN Dan and the prince disguises themselves as siblings going to offer incense. At the city gate, the guards question them repeatedly, but TIAN Dan bribes a guard to vouch for them, allowing them to escape. They flee to Jimo. Later, King Zhao of Yan sends YUE Yi to attack Qi. The capital of Qi fell, Consort Zou and YI Li die in the chaos, and King Min of Qi gets captured and dies under the sun. Thanks to TIAN Dan’s ingenious strategy of using fire oxen to break the Yan army, Qi’s territory is fully restored. The prince returns to ascend the throne, and TIAN Dan gets promoted to a high-ranking official.

April 25th The Jinshan Temple·The Broken Bridge·The Leifeng Pagoda
XU Xian from Qiantang and BAI Suzhen falls in love and gets married. Fahai, a Buddhist monk of Jinshan Temple, gets jealous and tells XU that Suzhen is a snake demon. XU goes to Jinshan Temple and doesn’t return for many days. Together with her sister Qing, Suzhen comes to the temple to find her husband but is obstructed by Fahai. Suzhen then floods the temple with water demons’ help while Fahai has the support of the Heaven troops. Suzhen is defeated because she is weakened by her pregnancy. She reaches the Broken Bridge and her husband XU arrives. Qing intends to attack XU for his betrayal. Suzhen excuses XU for their conjugal love and reconciles XU and Qing. Later, she gives birth to a son, named Shilin. When the baby is a month old, Fahai captures Suzhen with a golden alms bowl and imprisons her under the Leifeng Pagoda. Years later, Shilin becomes the top performer of the imperial examination. At the Leifeng Pagoda, he reunites with his mother.

April 26th The Legend of White Snake
Having cultivated vital energy in Mount Emei for thousands of years, the White Snake and Green Snake are incarnated into BAI Suzhen and Xiaoqing. They come to the West Lake and meet XU Xian, who has just returned from the graveyard. Falling in love with each other, BAI Suzhen and XU Xian get married. Monk Fahai incites XU Xian against BAI Suzhen, and XU Xian takes Monk Fahai at his word. At the Dragon Boat Festival, XU Xian fuddles BAI Suzhen with realgar wine, and BAI Suzhen becomes a snake, getting him frightened. Waking up, BAI Suzhen goes to the mountain of immortals to steal glossy ganoderma and brings XU Xian back to life. After rehabilitation, XU Xian is tricked by Monk Fahai into going up the Jinshan Mountain. BAI Suzhen and Xiaoqing come to the Jinshan Mountain to request XU Xian to go back home, but Monk Fahai refuses them. BAI Suzhen is forced to fight back, and she launches an attack on the Jinshan Temple. XU Xian flees from the Jinshan Temple and meets BAI Suzhen by the Broken Bridge over the West Lake. BAI Suzhen forgives XU Xian and goes to his sister’s house with him to rebuild their own home. Fahai returns for further sabotage. Xiaoqing is defeated and runs away, while BAI Suzhen is put under the Leifeng Pagoda. Many years later, Xiaoqing comes back with some other fairies. They defeat the Pagoda God and topple the Leifeng Pagoda to revenge for BAI Suzhen.

A Celestial Beauty Scatters Flowers
Lay Buddhist Vimalakirti falls ill. The Buddha orders all the Bodhisattvas and all his disciples to visit the patient. He also sends the Heaven Maiden to shower flowers in the sickroom. For the opera, Mr. MEI Lanfang created a ribbon dance, beautifying and enriching the form of dance designed for a female role player in Peking Opera. Accompanied by singing, the dance shows how happy the Heaven Maiden is as she leaves the fairyland for the first time.

Borrowing Arrows with Thatched Boats·Summoning the East Wind
CAO Cao leads his army to the Yangtze River to attack Wu. PANG Tong offers a strategy to chain CAO’s ships together, making them vulnerable to fire attacks. CAO Cao falls for the plan. However, it was midwinter, and the lack of an east wind makes it difficult to direct the fire towards CAO’s camp. ZHOU Yu falls ill with anxiety. ZHUGE Liang predicts that the east wind will come soon and takes the opportunity to visit ZHOU Yu, claiming he can borrow the east wind. ZHOU Yu had a platform built on Nanping Mountain, where ZHUGE Liang performs a ritual, and the east wind indeed arrives as predicted. Jealous of ZHUGE Liang’s abilities, ZHOU Yu sends assassins to kill him, but ZHUGE Liang, prepared in advance, escapes with ZHAO Yun’s help and returns to Xiakou.
