Kôki Mitani Original Author
Humourist Kôki Mitani is a renowned Japanese playwright and director. He is also a national scriptwriter adept at writing stage dramas, TV series and films.
Born in Tokyo in 1961, Kôki Mitani founded a theatre troupe, “Sunshine Boys Tokyo”, in 1983, when he was studying at the Department of Theatre, Nihon University College of Art. After that, he wrote and directed numerous stage dramas, TV series and films. In 2022, he worked as the screenwriter of The 13 Lords of the Shogun, an NHK taiga drama, and won the 41st Mukoda Kuniko Award, attracting great attention. That same year, his film The Magic Hour was adapted into a Chinese film, Too Cool To Kill, which became a massive hit upon its premiere, ranking third on China’s Film Box Office Charts that year.
As a screenwriter and director, Kôki Mitani have written and directed films including Welcome Back, Mr McDonald (1997), Minna no ie (2001), The Wow-Choten Hotel (2006), The Magic Hour (2008), A Ghost of a Chance (2011), Kiyosu kaigi (2013), Galaxy Turnpike (2015) and Amnesiac! (2019). Let’s Talk About Suomi, the ninth film to be written and directed by him, will have its premiere in Japan on September 13th, 2024.

LI Ren holds academic degrees from the Department of Acting and Department of Directing, Beijing Film Academy.
LI Ren is a first-class actor and director at the National Theatre of China.
LI Ren is a creative team member and lead actor in many classic dramas produced by the National Theatre of China, including The Knockout, The Field of Life and Death, The Chinese Orphan, The Last Battle, Snowstorm, GU Wenchang, Warrior Lanling, etc. He is the revival director of several dramas including The Grand Mansion Gate, Deling and Cixi, etc.
