WANG Yabin is a first-class actress, choreographer and director, chief dancer at the BDA Youth Dance Troupe, Artistic Director of Yabin Studio, Vice Chairperson of the Beijing Dancers Association and council member of the China Dancers Association.

Having garnered gold awards in all national dance competitions of China, WANG Yabin specialises in the creation of high-quality international dance programmes. Under her art brand, “Yabin and Her Friends”, she has reached close cooperation with nearly 200 leading artists from China and abroad, creating 18 dance dramas over the past 15 years.

Her creations are rooted in the traditional Chinese culture, yet there are cross-cultural artistic elements in her works. By using modern techniques for creative choreography, she is adept at choreographing many genres of dance, such as classical Chinese dance, contemporary dance and ballet.

Her works have been performed at leading Chinese and foreign dance festivals and theatres on invitation, including the Montpellier International Dance Festival, Théâtre de la Villette‌, Paris, and Opera De Dijon seasons.

WANG Yabin went abroad for cultural and artistic exchange at the request of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, receiving high attention and acclaim from the mainstream media.

WANG Yabin was the first Chinese choreographer to be invited to choreograph dances for the English National Ballet, American Dance Festival and Luzerner Theater.

WANG Yabin is “one of the most important Asian dancers”, according to Knack Focus.

The Guardian says that her works reveal human desires in a subtle way.

Her representative dance dramas include Growth, The Moon Opera, Dream So, She Says, The Lady from the Sea, Swan, a Different Story, Journey to the West, Dance of Calligraphy in 353 AD, and others.

LYU Liang is a composer at the China Oriental Performing Arts Group, holding an academic degree from the Central Conservatory of Music. His representative works include dance dramas The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting, Dance of Calligraphy in 353 AD, Returns to SZ, Return from Dunhuang, Only I Am Qingbai, The Story About Dachen Island, Egrets Fly South and A Dream of Lady XIN Zhui, musicals River of No Return, Nankong‌ and Dream Quest on the Vast Sea, and dramas Riverside Code at Qingming Festival‌ and Rickshaw Boy (Beiyan version). LYU Liang has participated in the composition of music for such TV dramas as A Dream of Splendor, Serenade of Peaceful Joy, The Story of Minglan and The Bond, as well as the production of a large-scale evening party, Echoes of Porcelain presented at the 2024 CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
