
Yulianna Avdeeva Pianist
A pianist of fiery temperament and virtuosity, Yulianna Avdeeva is the Gold Medalist of the 2010 International Chopin Piano Competition, which launched her to international fame for “consistently [leading] the field, in terms of sheer passion and musicianship, not to mention technical security,” and for her “spontaneous and volatile” performances, “full of depth and color” (The Telegraph). Yulianna plays with power, conviction, and sensibility, winning over audiences all over the world.
A favorite artist in Europe, Yulianna has recurring concert engagements at the Warsaw Philharmonic, Rudolfinum in Prague, Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, Vienna Konzerthaus, and Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. She recently performed recital debuts at the Salzburg and Gstaad festivals, and at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
Highlights of Yulianna’s 2025-26 season include a recital tour to Korea and China; the “Chopin and his Europe Festival” in Warsaw; recital debuts at Musikverein Vienna, Cologne Philharmonic Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, La Jolla Music Society, Philip Lorenz International Keyboard Concerts, Houston’s DACAMERA series, Festival de Tannay, in Switzerland, Società del Quartetto di Milano, and Music Centre De Bijloke, in Belgium. She also returned to Círculo de Bellas Artes, in Madrid, for a full performance of Shostakovich’s 24 Preludes and Fugues, Op. 87, and to the Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival, in Prague, for a solo recital of excerpts from Op. 87 at the Rudolfinum.
Orchestral performances, as soloist, include the Seattle Symphony, Bournemouth Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, WDR Cologne Radio Orchestra, Dresden Philharmonic, Orchestre Consuelo at Festival La Chaise-Dieu; and the Franz Schubert Filharmonia. Her recent appearance at the Gewandhaus Shostakovich Festival is followed this season with a European tour with Andris Nelsons and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. Upcoming chamber music performances include a tour with the Belcea Quartet and concerts in Vienna, Hamburg, Berlin, and Madrid.
Yulianna’s 2024-25 season included a Carnegie Hall re-engagement, after her sold-out recital debut in 2023; she returned with a programme of Chopin and Liszt, which she also played in Spain, Germany, the U.S., France, Austria and Italy. She also performed with the New York Philharmonic at Bravo! Vail Music Festival; made her Celebrity Series of Boston debut; gave a recital at the Rockport Chamber Music Festival; and several concerts at the Seattle Chamber Music Festival.
In partnership with the Boston Symphony, the Gewandhaus Orchestra created a Festival marking the 50th anniversary of the death of Shostakovich, which featured Yulianna in performances of the entire Op. 87 in spring 2025. Besides the Gewandhaus, she performed the cycle at Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin; Palau de la Música in Barcelona; Saitama Arts Centre, in Tokyo; Festival de Lanaudière, in Quebec; National Centre for the Performing Arts, in Beijing; Ostrava, in the Czech Republic; and Seon, in Switzerland, among others. She made her debut with the Chicago Symphony in the 2023-24 season.
Yulianna recently released three albums on PENTATONE: Resilience (2023); Chopin: Voyage (2024); and a complete recording of Shostakovich’s Op. 87 (2025). Her recordings of the Chopin concertos with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and Frans Brüggen (2013); three solo albums featuring works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt, and Prokofiev (2014, 2016, 2017); collaboration with Gidon Kremer in Weinberg’s chamber music (2017 and 2019); and Deutsche Grammophon solo recording (2015) are a formidable record of her art.
In 2025 Yulianna launched the online project Avdeeva Shostakovich Project, discussing and playing each of the 24 Preludes and Fugues. The project accompanied Yuliannas Musical Dialogues, an open space for her followers to share their passion for music. Piano aficionados also enjoyed Yulianna’s online educational project #AvdeevaBachProject, gaining over half a million views.

Klaus Florian Vogt Tenor
Klaus Florian Vogt is one of the outstanding Wagner tenors of our time. His repertoire includes dramatic roles such as Lohengrin, Tannhäuser, Parsifal, Stolzing, Tristan, Siegmund and Siegfried, but also Florestan (Fidelio), Paul (The Dead City) and Hoffmann (Les Contes d'Hoffmann). In addition, he sang lyrical-dramatic roles such as Erik (The Flying Dutchman), Andrej (Khovanshchina), Prince (Rusalka), Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Faust (La Damnation de Faust) with great success.
Klaus Florian Vogt is a sought-after guest at all the world's major opera houses as well as at the Bayreuth Festival, the Salzburg Festival and numerous festivals. Engagements have taken him to the opera houses in Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, London, Barcelona, Vienna, Madrid, Milan, Toulouse, Helsinki, New York and Tokyo, among others. In 2005 he made his Japanese debut as Hoffmann (Les Contes d'Hoffmann) in Tokyo, followed in 2006 by his American debut as Lohengrin at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. In 2007 he sang for the first time at La Scala in Milan (Lohengrin), later returning there as Florestan (Fidelio). In 2023, he expanded his repertoire with two more Wagner roles and sang the title role of Siegfried and Siegfried in Götterdämmerng in the Ring des Nibelungen at the Zurich Opera for the first time. In 2025/2026 he can be seen as Siegmund and Siegfried in the new Milanese Ring des Nibelungen. In 2024 he made his role debut as Tristan at the Semperoper Dresden. In 2007 he made his triumphant debut at the Bayreuth Festival as Walther von Stolzing in the new production of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg directed by Katharina Wagner. From 2011 to 2015 he was able to record another great success there as Lohengrin in the production by Hans Neuenfels. In the summer of 2016, Klaus Florian Vogt took on the title role in the new production of Parsifal at the Bayreuth Festival under the musical direction of Hartmut Haenchen. From 2017 to 2021, he appeared there as Stolzing in the production of Barrie Kosky's Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. In 2022 he returned to the Festival as Siegmund in the new Ring des Nibelungen and as Lohengrin. In 2023, he sang the title role in Tannhäuser there for the first time.
With the role of Lohengrin, Klaus Florian Vogt makes guest appearances all over the world. There is currently no other singer who is so artistically successful in the role of Wagner's Knight of the Grail. He has appeared as Lohengrin at La Scala in Milan, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Vienna State Opera, the Zurich Opera, the New National Theatre Tokyo, the Bavarian State Opera, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Hamburg State Opera, the Baden-Baden Whitsun Festival and, of course, the Bayreuth Festival. Klaus Florian Vogt, who comes from northern Germany, began his musical career as a horn player in the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra. At the same time, he began studying singing at the University of Music and Theatre in Lübeck. In 1997/98 he was engaged at the Landestheater Flensburg, and from 1998 to 2003 he was a member of the ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden. He has been working as a freelancer since 2003.
Klaus Florian Vogt has also made a name for himself as a concert and lieder singer. Performances have taken him several times to Vienna, New York, the Tanglewood Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, London, Athens, Berlin and Leipzig as well as to the Salzburg Festival. His repertoire includes works by Mozart, Beethoven, Mahler, Verdi, Flotow and, of course, Wagner. He scored a great success in 2019 with the premiere of a chamber music version of Franz Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin at Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie. On the concert stage, he has worked with the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and the Munich Philharmonic, among others, and with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Andris Nelsons, Mariss Jansons, Simone Young, Antonio Pappano and Kent Nagano. As a lieder singer, he has performed works by Haydn, Schubert, Brahms, Mahler and Strauss, among others, with great success.
Klaus Florian Vogt has made numerous recordings and solo albums. SONY Classical released his three solo CDs Helden (2012) with the Orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin under Peter Schneider, Wagner (2013) with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra under Jonathan Nott and Favorites (2014) with operetta arias and musical pieces with the Munich Radio Orchestra under the direction of Gerrit Prießnitz. Furthermore, there is a recording of Korngold's Die tote Stadt from the Frankfurt Opera under Sebastian Weigle (Oehms Classics), a CD and a DVD with hits from Berlin to Broadway with Renée Flemming under the direction of Christian Thielemann (Deutsche Grammophon) and a complete recording of Lohengrin with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under Marek Janowski. In January 2016, a recording of Franz Schmidt's The Book with Seven Seals from Hamburg's Laeiszhalle was released under Simone Young (Oehms Classics), and in March 2017 a complete recording of Lohengrin was released with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam under the baton of Sir Mark Elder. From the Bayreuth Festival, Lohengrin, Parsifal and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg are available on DVD, among others, which were awarded the OPUS Klassik in 2019. In 2023, a recording of Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin with chamber music ensemble was released. In 2012, Klaus Florian Vogt received the ECHO Klassik as Artist of the Year, and in 2025 he was named "Best Singer" at the Oper! Awards in Brussels. In 2019, the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg appointed him "Hamburg Kammersänger".

Sarah Wegener Soprano
British-German soprano Sarah Wegener captivates audiences around the world with her deeply felt expressiveness, stylistic versatility, and brilliant articulation. Her artistic range spans from Handel to Strauss, Wagner, and Mahler, all the way to contemporary music—whether in concert, on the opera stage, or in recital. She collaborates with leading conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Vladimir Jurowski, Edward Gardner, Petr Popelka, Semyon Bychkov, and Daniel Harding, and performs with renowned orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta y Coro Nacionales de España, Orchestre de Paris, Czech Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.

In the 2025/26 season, Sarah Wegener turns her focus to major works by Strauss, Wagner, and Mahler. She performs Strauss’s Four Last Songs with the Essen Philharmonic and reprises the role of Sieglinde in Die Walküre—both with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra under Patrick Hahn and in concert performances with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig under Andris Nelsons, followed by an extensive tour of China. With the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, she appears in excerpts from Strauss’s Arabella, and sings Mahler’s monumental Symphony No. 8 with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus. As a recitalist, she moves audiences in Liederabende (song recitals) at venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Cologne Philharmonie. On the opera stage, she has earned acclaim for roles such as Sieglinde and Freia, with performances at the Royal Opera House London, the State Opera in Prague, Deutsche Oper Berlin, and the Saarländisches Staatstheater. Sarah Wegener has a particularly strong affinity for contemporary music and frequently works closely with living composers. She also makes a striking impact in the symphonic repertoire, with interpretations of works by Schönberg, Sibelius, Penderecki, and Widmann. Her discography reflects this artistic breadth. Her albums Into the Deepest Sea and Zueignung have received multiple awards. For her interpretation of song arrangements by B.A. Zimmermann, she was awarded the Choc de Classica and the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik. Her recording of Jörg Widmann’s Drittes Labyrinth was nominated for the OPUS Klassik award.
Sarah Wegener studied voice with Isolde Assenheimer and Prof. Bernhard Jäger-Böhm in Stuttgart and honed her craft in masterclasses with Dame Gwyneth Jones and Renée Morloc. Originally trained as a double bassist, she brings a distinctive musical depth and sensitivity to her interpretations. Since 2024, she has shared her experience and passion as Professor of Voice at the Zurich University of the Arts.
