WANG Anyi is a writer. In 1970, she joined the “Sent-Down Youth” Programme in Wuhe, Anhui Province. In 1972, she was recruited to the Xuzhou Song and Dance Ensemble of Jiangsu Province as a performer. In 1978, she was transferred to the Editorial Department of Children’s Epoch‌ Shanghai. In 1980, she studied at the China Writers Association Literature Institute. In 1983, she joined the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. In 1987, she was appointed as a professional writer by the Shanghai Writers' Association, and now she is a professor at Fudan University. Since her debut in 1977, WANG Anyi has published writings of around six million Chinese characters in total. Among these are over ten full-length novels, including Everlasting Regret, The Age of Enlightenment and Tianxiang, alongside Collected Novellas of WANG Anyi (8 volumes), WANG Anyi’s Short Stories in Chronological Order (4 volumes), a collection of essays and many critical writings. Her previous accolades include the National Outstanding Children’s Literature Award, National Short Story Award, National Novella Award, MAO Dun Literature Prize, LU Xun Literature Prize, “Chinese Media Literature Awards‌: Outstanding Writer of the Year”, Malaysian “Huazong” World Chinese Literature Award‌, Taiwan “China Times Open Book Award”, Korean Lee Byeng-ju International Literature Prize‌ and Hong Kong “Dream of the Red Chamber Award” for World Chinese Novels. In 2011, she was nominated for the ManBooker International Prize. Some of her works have been translated into English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Russian, Serbian, Japanese, Hebrew, Korean, Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai. In 2013, she was awarded the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by France. In 2024, she was awarded the Ordre national de la Légion d’honneur.

ZHAO Yaomin is a playwright. His representative works include Genius and Madman, Original Sin, Midnight Mood‌, Alarm Clock, Singers and Orangutans, Moments of Beauty, Everlasting Regret (adaptation), The Last Night of Madam Chin (adaptation), and Zhimo Goes Back.

ZHAO Yaomin has received multiple awards, including the CAO Yu Drama Award, TIAN Han Drama Award, Third China Golden Lion Award for Drama, and Honour Award at the 18^th Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre.

ZHOU Xiaoqian, a first-class director, is a director and actress at the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, holds a bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Theatre Academy.

CHEN Qifeng is a young composer and music producer, holding a bachelor’s degree from the Composition Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He is a resident composer at the Tongji University Choir, a council member of the Chorus Committee of the Shanghai Musicians Association, and a distinguished composer at the Shanghai Choral Arts Centre.
