WANG Ban is a member of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the NCPA. He is a first-class actor and a graduate of the Acting Department of the Central Academy of Drama, Class of 1987. He also serves as Chairman of the Dongcheng Dramatists Association and Vice Chairman of the Dongcheng District Federation of Literary and Art Circles. With over 30 years of experience in both theatre and film & television, he combines superb acting skills with distinguished directing vision, making him a versatile artist widely acclaimed in China’s arts community for both artistic calibre and public reputation. His stage productions include Sunrise, Thunderstorm, Peking Man, A Doll’s House, Hamlet, GUAN Hanqing, Our JING Ke, and Night at Fragrant Hills. He has received the highest honours in the industry, including the China Theatre Plum Blossom Award and the China Drama Golden Lion Award. He has also produced many acclaimed works in film and television, including the films Sky Fighters, Rebirth from Desperation, Dream of the Red Chamber, and God of War; and the television dramas The Rainbow-like Journey Home, Top Secret Escort, MAO Zedong and His Three Brothers, Brothers Auto Shop, Pigeon Whistle, The Bells Ring in the Mountains, and The New Female Consort. His directing works include Thunderstorm, At the Point of Death, Beyond the Horizon, Beijing Tu’er Ye, Dawn 1949, and All Waters Flow Eastward.

HUANG Ying served as the director of the stage plays Crossroads and Crows and Sparrows produced by the NCPA.

He is a first-class Director and Associate Professor of the Directing Department at the Beijing Film Academy, member of the China Theatre Association, Committee member of the Directors Committee of the China Theatre Association, Council member of the Beijing Theatre Association, and member of the Beijing Film Association. Since the beginning of his creative career, he has been acclaimed as a “New Beijing-Style Theatre Director,” “Asia’s Most Innovative Director,” “Leading Figure Among China’s Young Directors,” and “China’s Emerging Artist.” He has received honours including the Outstanding Director Award at the Ministry of Culture’s National Performing Arts Companies Performance Season, support from the National Arts Fund for Young Artistic Creators, the Best Director Award presented by the jury of the “Asian Arts Award” at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the First Prize of the Tian Han Drama Award (Script), the Golden Award for Directing and the Golden Award for Playwriting at the National Theatre Culture Awards, among others. His works have also received awards such as the 9th “Five-One Project” Award of the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the Repertoire Award at the Ministry of Culture’s National Performing Arts Companies Performance Season. He is regarded as a contemporary theatre director and artistic creator who combines deep roots in traditional Chinese art with a broad international vision. His representative works include more than 50 productions such as Jujube Tree, Luzhu, Opening 1990, Fortune and Longevity Complete, Half My Life, Brotherhood, Bell and Drum Towers, A Dream of Golden Millet, Journey to the West, To Be Continued, Chinese Class, Arriving in Style as Promised, and Macbeth.

LANG Wumei holds a bachelor's degree from the Department of History at Nanjing University and a graduate degree in Feature Film Directing from the Directing Department of Beijing Film Academy. She served as the screenwriter and director of the Beijing Film Academy graduation collaborative project Fairy Tale Book, which won the "Jury Special Award" at the 2023 Beijing Film Academy Directing Awards. She also co-directed the AIGC short films Space Oddity and City of Wild Dreams, which were shortlisted for the VACAT Award at the Global AI Visual Creativity Competition and the AIGC Short Film Section of the 17^th Xianli Awards.

HU Wei is a professor and doctoral advisor in the Department of Dramatic Literature at the Central Academy of Drama. She is a core member of the writing course project team for the National Quality Course of the Department of Dramatic Literature at the Central Academy of Drama and a selected candidate for the Beijing Literary and Art Talent Development Programme. Her works as an independent playwright include Qi Gong, Sound· For Love, Encountering Xinghai, and Grandpa’s Rice Paddy, among others.

LIU Kedong served as the set designer for the NCPA drama Jane Eyre, opera The Dawns Here Are Quiet, and the NCPA comic opera commission Wukong Thrice Confronts Lady Whitebone.

LIU Kedong is a first-class stage designer at the National Theatre of China, Vice Chairman of the China Institute of Stage Design, Visiting Professor at the Central Academy of Drama, Outstanding Expert of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Member of the Artistic Committee of the NCPA. His works have participated multiple times in the China Arts Festival as well as numerous international arts festivals. In 2013, 2017, 2022, and 2025, he participated in the World Stage Design exhibition. And in 2015, 2019, and 2023, he participated in the National Exhibition of the Prague Quadrennial (PQ) of Performance Design and Space. The productions he designed have repeatedly won the Wenhua Grand Award, the Five-One Project Award, and other honours. Personally, he has won the Wenhua Stage Design Award four times, as well as awards including Best Stage Design at the Lotus Awards, the Golden Lion Award for Drama, the One Drama Awards for Best Stage Design, Best Stage Design at the Chinese Theatre Awards Ceremony, Best Stage Design at the Tianqiao Musical Awards, and the Best Design Award at the Egypt International Experimental Theatre Design Exhibition.

Major works in recent years include dramas Jane Eyre, Dream of the Peony Pavilion, The Stage, Blossoms 2, I Am Not Madame Bovary, The Crucible, The Wave, Red Rose and White Rose, Amnesty, The Beauty of Linan Mountain, Changing Human Forms, Parasite, The Invisible Guest, and the Russian version of One Day, Three Autumns; the operas Il Trovatore (Danish version), Sandalwood Death, The Dawns Here Are Quiet, and Daughter of the Party; the musicals Searching for LI Ergou and Harbin Under the Nightfall; the dance dramas The Silk Road, Awake Lion, The Struggle Canteen, The Five Stars Rise in the East, Absolute Test, Breaking the Ice, Half of the Sea, and Yingge; the reunion version of the Kunqu opera The Peony Pavilion, Family, and Garden Dream; the Huangmei opera Hundred Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix; the dance theatre productions Train Station and GENESIS Growth; and the film Us Two, among others.

WANG Qi served as the lighting designer for the NCPA opera commission Rickshaw Boy and the NCPA children's opera commission A Story About Growing Up.

WANG Qi graduated from the Lighting Design programme of the Stage Design Department at the Central Academy of Drama. He is a lighting designer at the National Theatre of China, a guest professor at the Central Academy of Drama, and a guest professor at the School of Drama, Film and Television of Shenyang Conservatory of Music. He is a member of the China Theatre Association, an expert committee member of the Lighting Professional Committee of the China Institute of Stage Design, and an expert of the Stage, Film and Television Lighting Professional Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society. Many of his works have received the Wenhua Award at the Ministry of Culture Arts Festival, the Excellent Project Award, and the "Five-One Project" Award of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. He served as the chief lighting designer for the gala "Justice Will Prevail" commemorating the 80^th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He was also the chief lighting designer for the Urbanian Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Multiple contemporary art works have been exhibited at the Centre Pompidou (France), the ICA (UK), and the Guggenheim Museum (USA). His major works include the dramas Literature and Art in the War of Resistance, Saihan Long Song, Rhinoceros in Love, JIAO Yulu, Maple Forest, To Live, Parasite, and One Day, Three Autumns; the musical Summoned · Dunhuang; the operas The Daughter of the Party, Rickshaw Boy, and On the Road to Poverty Alleviation; the musicals Like a Dream, Like Reality and Bloody Xiang River; the dance dramas Beautiful Waters Vast and Boundless and River; and the ethnic opera and dance drama The Silk Road.

LI Kun is an emerging stage costume designer, founder of Qilin Oriental Art Design, and a member of the China Institute of Stage Design. Having trained in dance from a young age, she later studied under renowned stage costume designer ZHENG Zhikuan and has been active in ballet, theatre, and dance drama productions across China and Europe. She has been invited to serve as costume designer for leading companies and institutions in China and abroad, including the Paris Opera, Hamburg Ballet in Germany, the Finnish National Ballet, and the National Ballet of China. Her designs have received numerous awards both domestically and internationally. Major works include the dance dramas Dream of the Red Chamber, Railway Station, Soul of the Crane, and Dunhuang; multiple ballet productions in collaboration with the Paris Opera (France) and Hamburg Ballet (Germany); and theater/opera productions such as The Cherry Orchard at the Beijing People's Art Theatre and the Yue Opera My Grand View Garden.

ZHANG Song is a visual artist and stage multimedia designer. He specializes in stage multimedia visual design and has participated in numerous domestic and international theatre festivals and arts festivals. His representative works include the dance dramas Eternal Wave, Rippling Waters of Xiushui, Return from Dunhuang, Majestic Zhengyang, Wind Rising over Dachen, and A Panorama of Mountains and Rivers; the spoken dramas Lu Yao and The Four Dreams of Linchuan; the song-and-dance dramas Westward Migration, Ancient Songs, and Spring Breeze Greens Kekeya; the operas Ordinary World, Camellias in Bloom, and Evergreen on the Rooftop; the musicals The Great River Flows Eastward, Flowers for Algernon, and Our Love Story; the children's drama The Xin'an Traveling Troupe; and cultural tourism performance projects such as Princess Jincheng and Apeng Searching for Jinhua. Many of these works have received the Wenhua Award of the China Arts Festival and the Five-One Project Award.

XU Bin is a styling designer with the National Ballet of China. She graduated from the Makeup Design program of the Stage Art Department at the Central Academy of Drama and is a first-class stage designer. Her major works include the ballets Romeo and Juliet, The Peony Pavilion, Onegin, The Nutcracker, Boléro, The Rite of Spring, Don Quixote, Die Fledermaus, Crested Ibis, Soul of the Crane, La Sylphide, La Bayadère, Song of Life, Song of the Earth, Chant and Dance of the Earth, Dunhuang, Deep Memory, The Nine-Coloured Deer, Cinderella, The World of Flowers, Yimeng, Jewels, Blooming Like Flowers, Source of the Great River, Mountains and Rivers, Century, Deep AI, You, Dream of the Red Chamber, Giant Panda, Ode to Joy – Starry Sea, The Twelve Zodiac Animals, Shu Road, Qiuci, and The Pirate; the musicals Autumn Pants and Rolling Pin, Maomao Takes You Flying, and Extraordinary Jade; and the drama Five Tales by Lao She.

ZHANG Wei graduated from the Composition Department of the China Conservatory of Music with a master's degree in composition and holds the title of Second-Class Composer. He studied under Professor YANG Qing and later pursued advanced studies with the renowned composer ZHAO Jiping. In 2014, he was invited by New York University to serve as a visiting scholar in the United States, focusing on theatrical music composition. He is one of the few young Chinese composers today with comprehensive capabilities across the field.

ZHANG Wei has been engaged in theatrical music composition for more than a decade. His work spans a wide range of theatrical genres, including opera, musicals, dance dramas, and spoken drama, earning broad recognition. Among his works, the national opera The Flames of War on the Green Hills and the musical HUANG Danian received funding from the National Arts Fund; the musical YU Zijun was selected as the opening production of the 8^th Shaanxi Arts Festival and won the Wenhua Award. He has also served many times as music director for major national and ministerial-level events, including music director for the Beijing Municipal Education Commission’s celebration of the 90^th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and music director for the 25^th anniversary of the Golden Sail Art Troupe. In 2009, he served as music director for the mass pageant at Tiananmen Square celebrating the 60^th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. His works have been featured multiple times in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. In 2022, he participated as one of the principal creators of the music team for the Winter Olympics opening ceremony. In 2023, he participated as one of the principal creators of the music team for the Asian Games opening ceremony. His major stage productions include the opera musical Blood-Coloured Xiangjiang, the opera The Flames of War on the Green Hills, the musicals Beijing Legend, LUO Yang, YU Zijun, HUANG Danian, The Legend of Woodcutter LIU Hai, and Memory of Luling, the dance poem Xiamen Story, the spoken dramas Ming and Four Generations Under One Roof, the children’s drama Flower Goddess, and the musical short drama The Wise Man, among others.

ZHAO Xuke is a nationally renowned young director and choreographer, a first-class director and choreographer, currently serving as a director and choreographer at the Artistic Creation Center of the National Song and Dance Troupe. He was a director and choreographer for the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 8-minute artistic performance for China’s flag handover at the Athens Olympics, the executive chief director of the opening ceremony of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, and the executive director of the closing ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

His works have won numerous awards, including the Ministry of Culture’s “National Excellent Project Award,” the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee’s “Five-One Project Award,” the 8^th “Wenhua Grand Prize” and “Wenhua Choreography Award,” the “Outstanding Choreographer Award” at the Taoli Cup National Dance Competition, and the “First Prize for Outstanding Production” at the First National Song, Dance, and Acrobatic Gala Outstanding Repertoire Exhibition. He participated as a principal director in ZHANG Yimou’s version of Turandot, as well as the CCTV Spring Festival Galas in 2005 and 2012. He served as dance director for the large-scale live Bird’s Nest show “Bird’s Nest Attraction,” chief director of the 2016 large-scale live show Flash Floods and Torrential Rains, and chief director of the 2019 Longcheng International Grand Circus. His major works include the dance dramas Maritime Silk Road, Silk Road Flower Rain, Rickshaw Boy, and Marco Polo; the large-scale dance drama commission The Legend of Tai Chi; the large-scale music and dance commission The Charm of Henan; the large-scale acrobatic drama Journey to the West; and dance works such as Ye Yan Drum Roar, Asking Heaven, and Bells. Many of his works have toured extensively both in China and abroad and have received high praise from leaders and audiences alike.

HE Biao served as the sound designer for the NCPA opera commissions Minning Town and The Wild Rhododendron, NCPA opera The Daughter of the Party, NCPA musical commission War and Peace, and the NCPA drama commission Zhongdu of the Jin Dynasty.

HE Biao is a sound designer and audio engineer. He serves as Deputy Director of the Performance Sound Reinforcement Professional Committee of the China Audio Engineers Society and as a member of the Performance Technology Expert Committee of the China Association of Performing Arts. As a sound designer, he has participated in major events including large-scale gala performances commemorating the birth of Comrade MAO Zedong, the 60^th and 70^th anniversaries of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the gala celebrating the 70^th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the “Hello Xiaoping” gala performance, the large-scale gala “Ode to the Long March,” the First China Arts Festival, the “Millennial Covenant” gala performance for the Belt and Road Forum, the large-scale symphonic music and dance epic The Road to Rejuvenation, and the large-scale symphonic music and dance epic Strive On, Chinese Sons and Daughters. He has also participated in the sound design of numerous dramas and operas. He served as Chief Sound Designer for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, the opening and closing ceremonies of the 19^th Asian Games and Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022, the opening and closing ceremonies of the 9^th Asian Winter Games, and a series of other major sporting event performances. HE Biao has also worked as an audio engineer for numerous productions and events, including the musical drama Summoned · Dunhuang, the symphonic choral suite Chinese Spirit, SONG Zuying’s solo concert tour, and HAN Hong’s concert “Ode to Life” in Beijing.

WANG Weijun currently works at the NCPA. He has participated in prop-related work for more than 70 productions at the NCPA, including operas, dramas, and dance dramas. He graduated from the Department of Arts Management at the Central Conservatory of Music and has served as Props Coordinator for the NCPA’s self-produced works such as The Crossroad, The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, and Returning Home on a Snowy Night. His major projects include The "Millennial Road" Gala for the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Growing Up with My Motherland — 2019 International Children’s Day Themed Performance, Turandot, The Flying Dutchman, Snow White, The Crossroad, and The LEI Family, the Royal Architects.

WANG Hao currently works at the NCPA. He has participated in sound design-related work for numerous productions at the NCPA, including operas, dramas, and dance dramas. He graduated from Beijing Union University with a major in Audio and Visual Technology, and has worked in live sound reinforcement mixing and theater sound system design. His independent works include the operas Minning Town, A Village Teacher, and La fille du régiment; dramas LIN Zexu, DENG Shichang, and The LEI Family, the Royal Architects; the song-and-dance drama "My Ulan Muqir"; and the opening ceremony of the First National Farmers' Art Festival. Productions he participated in creating include the Peking operas Red Cliff and You and Me; dramas Returning Home on a Snowy Night and Winter 1948; and the dance drama The Railway to Tibet.

ZHANG Shijia is a member of the Communist Party of China, a theatre director, and a performance director for film and television productions. He received both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Communication University of China. He is a member of the Beijing Dramatists Association and the Dongcheng District Dramatists Association, a participant in the Beijing People's Art Theatre playwright and director talent training programme. He formerly served as an invited expert at the Beijing Film Academy, where he was responsible for directing practical productions for the Directing Department and the School of Acting. He has worked as an acting consultant for many well-known Chinese artists. His major stage directing works include Sunrise, The Maids, Sleepless Night, Love's Labour's Lost, and The Good Person SHEN Dai. He also served as assistant director for Xiangshan Night, a centennial tribute production celebrating the founding of the Communist Party of China at the Beijing People's Art Theatre.
