On the evening of May 31st, 2020, jointly hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, China Welfare Institute and NCPA and supported by Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the online gala for International Children’s Day 2020 was held in Beijing.
Following the theme of “Hometown & Motherland & World”, the gala bore witness to united efforts of many teenagers from Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Daliang Mountain of Sichuan, Hainan and other places across China. Children were guided to an exploration journey, enjoying the happiness of living in China and upholding a strong sense of responsibility for loving and safeguarding the motherland.
The online gala for International Children’s Day 2020 helped children take a closer look at traditional culture, uncover the mysteries of science and nature, and cultivate excellent spiritual qualities. Moreover, the event inspired children to understand the significance of acquiring knowledge, standing firm for ideals and faiths, honing strong will and building up a healthy body, and always be poised to the Chinese Dream.
The NCPA was changed into not only a kingdom of fairy tales, but also a fairyland where children expressed good wishes for the motherland. The children unleashed their love and pride for the motherland with their songs, dances and performances, demonstrating their vibrant mental outlook in the new era. This gala also told children moving stories of the heroes in the form of educational materials, and instructed them with interesting contents. In their own ways, the children expressed their respect and gratitude to the fearless dedication and industrious work of all heroes fighting against the epidemic.
Until now, there have been over 40 million hits for this event on about 60 online broadcast platforms, such as the NCPA Classical Music Channel, Xinhuanet. Many audiences were impressed and sent blessings one after another.
