YIN Zhusheng as SHANG Yang
Born in Xi’an on October 13th, 1965, YIN Zhusheng was enrolled in Performance Department of Shanghai Theater Academy in 1986. He began to work at Shanghai People's Art Theatre and Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre since 1990. He is now National-level Grade-A Performer, Member of Chinese Drama Art Society and Member of Shanghai Dramatists Association. Throughout his performance career, he has always been improving his understandings of roles and performance skills, and upholding self-confidence and dedication. Since 1990, he has starred in about 100 dramas, films and TV series.
His main performance works include dramas such as Goddess of White Snake, Old Forest, Sun ·Snow·People, Othello, Moon on Tokyo, Love Bubble, SHANG Yang, Emperor Substitution and Beneath the Red Banner; TV series such as FAN Zhongyan, Police in the Western Region, Emperor Doctrine, Blood Relation, Great Ambitions for Children, Heavenly Road to Snow-covered Land, Nos Annees Francaises, Lonely Hero, Spicy Women Soldiers, Four Seasons of My Family, Front Edge and Salt Traders of the Qing Dynasty; films such as A Time To Remember, Questioning of Innermost World, Mother's Repentance, We Are Heroes and A Princess' Daughter.
He is stage director of many dramas, mainly including The Past Shanghai--Red Rose, WWW.COM, Insane Asylum Next Door Heaven, The Salty Taste of Cappuccino, Summer Night without Wind and Awkwardness.
He has won numerous awards, including Award for Supporting Role in the 2nd “Shanghai Magnolia Drama Performance Award”, the 1st “Baosteel High Art Award”, Performer Revitalization Award of the 3rd “China Drama Golden Lion Award”, Award for Leading Role in the 14th “Plum Blossom Award” of the Chinese Drama, among others.
LIU Peng as SHANG Yang
As the actor at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, LIU Peng graduated from the Department of Acting, XIE Jin Film & Television Art College in Shanghai Normal University. He has starred in many dramas, including SHANG Yang, The Song of Everlasting Regret,Glory Days, The Piano in a Factory, God of Carnage, The Manager of PRC, Our 2010, 12 Angry Men, Year of 1977, White Snake, A Midsummer Night Dream, Brothers, Angel on the Wheelchair, Heroes Without Regrets, etc. His performance has earned him several awards, such as "Award for the Best Supporting Actor" (starring as young FENG Guoliang/Man in Captain) of the 19th Zuolin Awards for Drama Art, "Award for the Best Supporting Actor" (starring as Pangtou in The Piano in a Factory) in the 17th Zuolin Awards for Drama Art, the Excellent Performance Award (starring as HAN Xin in HAN Xin) of the 13th China Drama Festival and Advanced Employee of SMG Performing Arts Group (2012).
HE Ping as ZHU Huan
As the actor at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, HE Ping graduated from the Department of Acting, Shanghai Theatre Academy. He has starred in many dramas, including Into the Sky, The Scholar and the Executioner, The March of a General, Proof, The Song of Everlasting Regret, Go Back for Murder, Deathtrap, A Few Good Men, The Unexpected Guest, Der Kontrabass, 12 Angry Men, The Deer and the Cauldron, Witness for the Prosecution, Noises Off, The Lady and Thieves, etc. He won “Award for Best Supporting Actor” in the 16th “Shanghai White Magnolia Awards for Theatre Performances” and “Award for the Most Promising Rookie Actor” in the 16th “Zuolin Awards for Drama Literature”.
ZHOU Xiaoqian JI Niang
ZHOU Xiaoqian is a National First-class Director; Director and Actress at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre. She has starred in many dramas, including SHANG Yang, The Golden Cangue, Staying-up, Call on Life, etc. She has been the director of musical theatrical plays like You Are My Loneliness, musical dramas such as Loulan, Street Angel, Legally Blonde, I Love You(Chinese Version); dramas such as Perfume, The Return of XU Zhimo, The Piano in a Factory, Soulmate, QIAN Duoduo’s Marriage, Glory Days, I Have a Date with Spring, Old-styled Comedy, Happy Easter, Out of Order, The Chinese-style Wedding, The Message; and farces such as Disease Hidden in Feathers, etc. She also took a part in the work as the director of dramas such as Under the Red Flag, Mayor CHEN Yi, The Best Parents, SHANG Yang, The Song of Everlasting Regret, The Golden Cangue, Jane Eyre, etc. She won the Best Director in the 6th“Chinese Golden Lion Awards for Dramas” and the Best Leading Actress in the 17th “Zuolin Awards for Drama Art”.
FU Yawen as Young SHANG Yang
FU Yawen is an cctress at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre. She graduated from XIE Jin Film & Television Art College, Shanghai Normal University. She has starred in many dramas such as Soulmate, Romeo and ZHU Yingtai, Scarlet Heart, Staying-up, Peach Blossom-like Face, Doubt, Our 2010, Tempest, Records in the Year of Jiashen, Love with My Former Wife, Women’s Life, Tremor, SHANG Yang, The Mirror Cracked, etc.
LÜ Liang JING Jian
He has starred in many dramas such as Cooking, Jesus, Confucius and John Lennon, Sacrifices to Moon, Those Left Behind, Return of Hong Kong, Karma of Stocks, Made in China, SHANG Yang, Under the Red Flag, LI Yazi, The Song of Everlasting Regret, Oleanna, The Crucible, Under the Roofs of Shanghai, The Salty Taste of Cappuccino, Rain of Apricot Flowers, Year of 1977, The Unexpected Guest, Witness for the Prosecution, Uncle Vanya, The Longest Week Before, etc. He is the director of Havana at Midnight, Fairy Tales at Hair Salons, Activated Carbon, etc. He has a long list of received rewards, including “Plum Blossom Award” for Traditional Chinese Opera, “Shanghai White Magnolia Awards for Theatre Performances”, “Baosteel Awards for Refined Art”, “Zuolin Awards for Drama Art”, etc.
YANG Shaolin as GONGSHU Cuo
He graduated from the Department of Acting of Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1976 and is a National Level-A Performer. He is now the General Manager of Shanghai Drama Art Center Co., Ltd., Vice President of China Stage Play Art Research Society, Standing Director of China Dramatists Association, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Theatre Association, Vice President of Shanghai Performing Artist Federation and Vice President of Shanghai Performing Theatre Association. He has been producing and managing stage plays, films, TV series for over 40 years and has played the leading role in over 60 dramas, including The Opposite Bank, Cooking, Three Musketeers, The Song of Everlasting Regret, as well as several films and TV series such as CHEN Geng Falls into Danger, CHEN Geng Escapes out of Danger, Tsunami, Magic Fire of China and so on. He also participated in the artistic planning and production of about 100 stage plays.
XU Manman as HAN Nü
XU Manman is an actress at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre. She graduated from the Department of Acting, Shanghai Theatre Academy. LIU Xuanrui as rince Ang
LIU Xuanrui is an actor at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre. He graduated from the XIE Jin Film & Television Art College, Shanghai Normal University. XU Chengxian as King Hui of the Wei State
XU Chengxian is a National Level-A Performer. He was enrolled into the College of Shanghai People’s Art Theatre to study acting in 1960. He is now an actor at Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre, Member of China Dramatists Association and China Stage Play Art Research Society. He has starred in many dramas, including Murder on Air, To Forget and to Die, Spider Web, 12 Angry Men, Proof, Call on Life, Activated Carbon, The Unexpected Guest, Witness for the Prosecution; Go Back for Murder, The Hollow, And Then There Were None, Last Winter, The Woman in Black, SHANG Yang, The Gadfly, In the Silence, Faust, etc. He won many awards with his excellent stage performance, such as the Best Performer in the 1st Shanghai Theatre Festival, the Best Leading Actor of the 2nd “Shanghai White Magnolia Awards for Theatre Performance”, the 2nd “China Golden Lion Awards for Drama”, “Baosteel Awards for Refined Art” in 1994, Award for the Best Performer in the Stage Performance in Memorial of the 90th Anniversary of Dramas and “Award for the Best Supporting Actor” in the 2nd “Zuolin Awards for Drama Art”. In April 2007, he got the certificate of “Title of Honor as Excellent Worker of Drama Art”. In 2004, he won the Best Leading Actor in the 16th “Shanghai White Magnolia Awards for Theatre Performance” for the role of Father “Robert” in the drama Proof.
