NCPA opera commission FANG Zhimin is upcoming

FANG Zhimin is well-known in China. He was not only the founder of the Red Army and a proletarian revolutionist, but also a poet. After he was arrested in the Long March of the Red Army, he wrote Lovely China, Scantiness and other heart-moving poems. In 2015, NCPA invited composer MENG Weidong, librettists FENG Baiming and FENG Bilie, stage director LIAO Xianghong and other first-class artists to jointly tell the story of FANG Zhimin on opera stage. On July 1st-July 5th, the fourth round of NCPA opera commission FANG Zhimin will be staged.

Under the baton of ZHANG Yi, vocalists including XUE Haoyin, WANG Chong, LIU Songhu, ZHANG Yang, ZHAO Lili, LI Xintong, YANG Yanting will present this opera, accompanyed by NCPA Orchestra.
