China's stage of opera welcomed a "late-coming" treasure of art on the evening of December 4, when the NCPA version of Lohengrin, produced by NCPA and directed by the famous opera director Giancarlo Del Monaco, debuted successfully. With fantastic stage design, magnificent music and original singing, this opera has brought the audience an impressive artistic feast of the Wagner style and preluded the 5th anniversary celebration of NCPA as the last production of NCPA in 2012. While filling up a blank in the field of domestic opera, NCPA has also been the first organization to have produced two Wagner operas in one year, as a gift for the incoming 200th birthday of Wagner in 2013.
